Chelsea Dowell
Chelsea is an accomplished nonprofit professional with over a decade of experience at New York neighborhood and culture organizations. She focuses on creative and strategic solutions that tell stories and build audience.
After earning a Masters degree in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute, Chelsea joined the Green-Wood Historic Fund, where she managed the cemetery's development into a premiere cultural destination. Since then, she has led communications, engagement, and special projects at Village Preservation and Museum at Eldridge Street.
Chelsea’s interest in preservation stems from a fascination with the built environment of a city and how it shapes, and is shaped, by people. She likes long walks, dark movie theaters, and the D train.
