We’re through to the second round of the Knight News Challenge, with a proposal to bring great websites to every planning project.
Plan In A Box is an open-source web-publishing tool that makes it easy to put an effective, engaging public face on a planning project. With minimal effort, city staff can turn basic project info into a useful website, bundling tools for public input and effective broadcast of information.
Like all our other projects, we’re thinking of Plan In A Box as an open project, that others can extend, contribute to, and use in their own work. We’re looking at smaller municipalities, though we’re also hearing a need for simple tools from larger municipalities too.
Please give us your feedback on the ideas behind Plan In A Box. Your criticism is very helpful as we refine our ideas, so please keep it coming.
